The Josh Craig Life Of The Fast 1

SHINDIG INTERVIEW

5-0
Alright check it out. I'm sitting down at my computer rolling a spliff thinking about who would be a good person to feature in my first interview right, then it hit me like a girl walking in on her man with another chick. My good homie Sean from round the way a.k.a. Master Jackets. A fellow Essex County Bounty and one of the best skaters I've ever had the chance to thrash & destroy with was the perfect person. I recently sat down with "Master Jackets" of SHINDIG to ask him a few questions and wound up getting more laughs than anything. Ha ha. But it was a great interview none the less. For those of you living under a bus, this interview will give you some insight on the company and the people behind the scenes.
Look down...

Craig- What up kid!

Jackets- Chillin dude

Craig- Introduce yourself to the people brother

Jackets- Ayy what's up man. I'm Sean

Craig- Ight Sean. Tell the people what you do besides being cool.

Jackets- I do Hip-Hop shit. You know. Holdin it down in the streets. Your streets. My streets. All the streets. Ride my skateboard late at night when you're sleeping. Smoke blunts while you're awake. And drink beer while you're napping. Ya know. Sometimes we throw events. Do Hip-Hop shit. Like that.

Craig- Ha ha. OkayYo. You are the face of the SHINDIG. You are the man. Explain what the fuck y'all do man. Y'all SHINDIG the dig. Let em know. Give em a run down while you're walking.

Jacket-SHINDIG is a group of people. Party posse. Party poppers. We get it poppin. We make skateboards. We make t-shirts. We make stickers. We do graffiti on your house & shit. What else do we do? Ughh. You know. Dance & shit. We bout to be partying soon. We bout to have an art show coming up. Making power moves

Craig-  When is the art show?

Jackets- June 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th. Friday is gonna be poppin off. There's gonna be rap music. Josh Craig hopefully comes by and raps.

Craig- You know I'm coming through. Where & what is it called?

Jackets- It's "Andy's Art Exhibit" at 249 Eldridge Street, Lower East Side, Manhattan, NY. The Sapphire Lounge. Dig!

Craig- (Ha ha. Dig!) So how long have you been shredding for? Skating that is.

Jackets- 9 years. Maybe less. Idk. I be doing it on the weekends now. My knee hurts though. We're working  on a video too. A full-length feature film.

Craig- What's it titled?

Jackets-  "I Hope This Video Gets Done."

Craig- For real?

Jackets- Na, but i hope it does. It should be out by like next year. With Steve Torrado, Steve Romero, Dan Vogedes, Andy Plants and many many more.

Craig- So you're pretty good at the, how would I put this in a legal way, in the "graphic arts"?

Jackets-  Yeah. I make a lot of graphs. I make a lot of pie charts. When I make my pie charts I like using spray paint.  Shout out to Izm Gang. Hoffa.

Craig- Where are you from yo?

Jackets- I'm from everywhere. I'm from the wrong side of the tracks. I'm from underneath the stairs. Where DJ Deep Creep lives.

Craig- Ha ha ha. So what was your favorite CD when you were growing up?

Jackets- Ugh I'm into like 90's R &B. That funky shit to Hip-Hop beats. Old school Mary J. Shit like that. What else... I used to bump Get Rich Or Die Tryin a shit load. That was funny. I made a rap song myself. That was awesome. And if you don't buy Josh's album you die.

Craig- You heard em! So breakdown your website so everyone knows where to go?

Jackets-  www.dot.com ha ha ha. I mean www.notshindig.com. There's a skateboarder passing by hold up.

Craig- He's black too. That's 3 for 3 today. Ha.

Jackets-  My man had the cut off gloves on.

Craig- If he ain't Bert sliding, he better be a messenger. Ha ha.

Jackets- Notshindig. We got a bunch of cool pictures, skateboard clips, flyers for all our events and a bunch of fun links for when you're bored supposed to be doing homework. A lot of fun shit to look at.

Craig- How long does it take you before you get holes in your shoes skating?

Jackets- Dog I'm too fly for that. If my shoes start looking ashy, I put them in my basement and don't wear them for six months then I wear them again a year later.

Craig- Nice. That's what the fuck I'm talking bout. YEAH!

Jackets- WORD.

Craig- Do you want to shout anybody out before we wrap this up?

Jackets- Shouts to Barry (the dog), J. Craig, Kimbo Slice, Worldstarhiphop (that shit is hot), Andy Mad Ugly, Izm, Proper, The Firm, Fresh Don't Stop & all that good shit. McDoogle you're wack. Peace.

Craig- Thanks homie.

Jackets- Of course. Thank you.

New Section Of The Blog

So to spice it up and get a little funky, I'm going to add an interview section to the blog. Every week I will be interviewing musicians, artists, photographers, skaters, bloggers, bikers, authors, you name it. I know it's going to be pretty DOPE. The interviews are going to give the readers an in-depth look at what's going on behind the scenes and in the minds of the who ever I bring to the table. Also, it's going to allow me to promote and spread the word because I love to help others. Especially my Essex County Bounty's. If you would like to be or know someone who would want to be interviewed, hit my e-mail up with a request. thejoshcraig@gmail.com
